Murray Bridge High School

Sarah Constructions engaged Delta Group to design an Early Works programme to support the $18m redevelopment of Murray Bridge High School.

Our scope of works included:

  • Site establishment, permits and authorities
  • Demolition of 5+ portable building, including footings
  • Strip out of classrooms to facilitate future fit-out
  • Hazmat removal and disposal, including asbestos and lead paint – 10t of asbestos removed/disposed
  • Garden bed and tree removal
  • Removal of redundant services
  • Construction of new 2,200m2 carpark – line marking, kerb and gutter construction and retaining wall construction
  • Irrigation line installation
  • Pit installations

Key project statistics included:

  • 25,000 total workhours
  • Nil/zero LTIs or MTIs
  • Live environment – operational school
  • Traffic management – 220+ of vehicle movements
  • 50m3 of spoil moved
  • 20m3 of concrete poured
  • Resource recovery – 100t of concrete, 20t of steel and 50t of C&D waste
