60 King William Street

Built engaged Delta Group to undertake an integrated multi-discipline Early Works project for the $450m 60 King William Street commercial precinct in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD.

Our scope of works included:

  • Principal Contractor
  • Demolition of existing low-medium rise structures
  • Heritage facade protection and retention
  • Asbestos & Hazmat Removal
  • Protection Scaffolding
  • Environmental management – noise, dust, vibration controls
  • Bulk excavation
  • Piles and Pile Caps
  • Retention design and construction package
  • Dewatering

A key challenge and unique attribute of our works was the careful retention and restoration of the State heritage listed Sands and MacDougall facade.

Key project statistics included:

  • Extensive hazmat removal within existing structures
  • Full protection and retention of existing facade to 64 King William street required to be performed at night within a tight environment
  • Close proximity to adjacent buildings
  • Congested location – extensive traffic management and coordination of works for night and off-peak hours between 9am to 4pm
