Lot Fourteen Early Works – Haul Road

Lendlease engaged Delta Group to undertake early works civil construction of a haul road in preparation for the redevelopment of the Former Royal Adelaide Hospital (Lot Fourteen) site in central Adelaide, South Australia.

Our scope of works included:

• Constructing 360 lineal meters of spoon drain
• Demolition of existing curb
• Preparation of sub-base and base course across an area of 3,600 m2, 150 mm thick
• Placing of 450-ton asphalt across of an area 3,600 m2, 50 mm thick
• Stormwater pipe and pit installation works
• Light pole wiring upgrades and electrical switchboard installation works

Unique challenges involved working alongside a range of contractors completing various other active projects on the Lot Fourteen site; working adjacent to the iconic Adelaide Botanical Gardens; undertaking civil works in and around sensitive archaeological footings; and high level stakeholder engagement.
