Construction Control contracted Delta Group to complete demolition works for the development of new terminal facilities at Canberra International Airport.

 
The scope of works included:

  • Staged works programme to manage the partial demolition of the old terminal structure to allow for the construction of an interface between old and new terminals, followed by the full demolition of northern terminal section and then the southern terminal section.
  • Complete all works in accordance with strict Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Air Side conditions.
  • Emissions, noise and vibration controls.
  • Transport logistics, including traffic management and supervision within a fully operational airport.
  • Recycling of construction waste materials – concrete, scrap steel and timber.

The terminal redevelopment received the Project of the Year at the ACT Master Builders Association 2013 award.
