As demolition and de-casement work went on above us, we also completed civil construction works such as bulk and detailed earthworks, including the construction of reinforced concrete foundations. Innovative demolition techniques were used to minimise disruption to surrounding commercial offices and pedestrian traffic, including pre-cutting concrete columns, cut and lift of precast walls, and precision pulverising attachments to demolish slabs.
We were able to successfully integrate all elements of the project to satisfy a tight programme and to deliver a fully braced steel frame skeleton within 12 months. We also overcame challenges posed by the sequencing of temporary and permanent structural steel installation works, as well as concurrent civil and demolition works under strict noise and vibration conditions.
