Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Civil) to support our Adelaide team. As Project Manager (Civil) you will be leading the design and delivery of complex and significant enabling civil construction and engineering projects. You are a confident leader and capable manager of key stakeholder relationships, with a record of excellence in quality, safety and environmental performance management. Reporting direct to Senior Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Civil and structural engineering and project management
  • Development and implementation of project management plans
  • Project Management – scope, programme, contract management, financial management and project performance
  • Work planning
  • Work to the guidelines of Delta Group’s triple certified QSE management systems
  • Interpretation and interrogation of drawings
  • Knowledge and application of relevant Australian Standards
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Sequencing and staging development and approvals
  • Accurate cost tracking and production tracking according to budget
  • Documentation development – specification review and quality assurance
  • Client and key stakeholder engagement, including management of project related subcontractors, suppliers and/or consultants
  • Liaison with Site Supervisor/Foreman
  • Procurement and purchasing, including contract management for all projects
  • Estimate and variation development, including man hours, costs and quantities
  • Planning, progress monitoring and reporting, including audits and/or inspections
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QSE management systems

To succeed in this role you will also possess a range of skills and attributes, including:

Essential

  • Relevant construction related qualifications including tertiary degrees in engineering and construction management
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Passion for people and their safety
  • Permanent residency
  • Drivers Licence and Vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Proven capacity to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up

Desirable

  • Experience in Civil and/or Demolition works Projects including Bulk Earthworks / Concrete / Landfills / Remediation
  • Proven capacity to multi-task
  • High level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up
  • Willingness to travel and or relocate to projects as needed
