Job Description

CMA Contracting in the Hunter Valley are seeking an experienced office administrator to drive a range of important processes and procedures, including reception, reporting, finance, project administration, and new business support (to name a few). Based in Kurri Kurri, this dynamic role will suit an individual with previous experience in supporting project-based teams and who is adept at managing competing demands on their time.

Key Responsibilities

  • General administrative duties (including reception/office duties)
  • Timesheets
  • Management of financial information relating to local projects including time and costs for labour, equipment and materials as well as management of invoices
  • Assisting the team with the implementation and coordination of project administration systems and procedures
  • Report collation, archiving, distribution, maintaining document register, ensuring submission deadlines are met, tracking RFI’s, proof reading and formatting confidential documentation
  • Assisting with non-technical tender completion
  • Ensuring office documentation (project folders) are prepared and available to Project Management Teams for upcoming works
  • Assisting with the administration of new hires and employment
  • Any other reasonable task within skillset, capability and training scope

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative role (construction, mining, or similar industry highly regarded)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business administration or similar
  • Experience supporting project-based teams
  • Commercial awareness and ability to prioritise competing demands
