Demolition of ‘Old Gold Room’ structure – steel framed, tin clad shed and adjoining concrete strong room
Demolition of Slag Floats infrastructure – hoppers and sump pumps; flotation rougher cells and associated structures

Key Challenges

Mixture of multiple contaminants and hazardous substances, including NORMs, Xanthate, hydrocarbons, Neutral Pulp and other process contaminants – all C&D waste sent to CWDF for processing, cleaning and categorisation
Design and install of temporary retention to allow for diversion of existing services
Cut and lift methodologies required to accommodate adjacent live operations
