CMA Contracting brings home 2025 MBA National Excellence in Building and Construction award for their work on the Walmanyjun Cable Beach Foreshore Redevelopment project in Broome, Western Australia.
In recognition of our capabilities to deliver non process infrastructure and remote or regional construction works, Master Builders Australia selected CMA as the pre-eminent contractor in the National Civil/Infrastructure Under $25 Million category at the 2025 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards.
The award is a huge achievement for CMA’s small construction team, led by Gary Day, and their work on Stage One of the Walmanyjun Cable Beach Foreshore Redevelopment project for the Shire of Broome.
“We’ve won regional MBA awards on past projects like Rio Tinto Peninsula Palms, but nothing beats bringing home a national award,” Gary said. “It’s a credit to our site team as well as the whole CMA team across Australia.”
In other news, Multiplex took home the coveted Master Builder of the Year for their work on the Queen’s Wharf Integrated Resort Development – which happened to be a job our Queensland division were part of. Congrats!
According to Master Builders Australia CEO Denita Wawn, these awards celebrate not just the structures and projects but the people behind them – builders, subcontractors, and their teams who go above and beyond to transform communities.
“Every project and individual recognised over the weekend is a testament to the resilience and leadership that defines our industry,” Denita said.
