Job Description

Delta Recycling are seeking to fill a range of Plant Operator positions (Wheel Loader, Excavator, Muncher & Dump Truck) within our expanding division. All positions are primarily located at our Sunshine Concrete Recycling & Contract Crushing facility in suburban Melbourne, but candidates may also be required to work at various locations across Delta Recycling project sites in metropolitan Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

To be successful in these positions you will possess:
  • High level competencies in operating various machine types and models
  • Basic (mechanical) understanding of various mobile plant
  • Be able to work within a busy recycling, quarry environment, and yard with other plant and machines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be physically fit and able to complete manual labour tasks, including plant upkeep and general maintenance
  • An understanding and focus on safety within the workplace
  • The ability to work well under pressure

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in the operation of mobile plant within the recycling, quarry, civil or demolition industry sectors
  • A valid driver’s licence and transport, relevant plant operator tickets and competencies, a physical medical assessment and the ability to pass a drug and alcohol tests are minimum requirements

Desirable

  • Understanding of resource recovery and contract crushing operations
