Job Description

BRC Piling & Foundations has forged a reputation for the design and delivery of high quality piling, retaining walls and foundation support systems over 35+ years in operation. Established since 1988 in Victoria, we now operate in South East Queensland and are a trusted contractor for the delivery of specialist Geotech solutions to support urban and industrial sector construction projects. With an expanding workbook in Brisbane we are seeking experienced Rig/Pump Operators and Offsiders to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are typical for the role and other duties may be assigned to meet client or site specific requirements:
  • Safe operation of piling rig/excavator/other plant as required (if licensed)
  • Repetitive handling and/or moving of heavy and awkward materials
  • Effectively communicate to all site personnel
  • Maintain daily logs of plant and equipment usage, maintenance
  • Daily pre-start maintenance of plant or equipment
  • Identify, report and correct hazards
  • Labourer duties – including (but not limited to) cleaning and preparing a site; loading and delivering materials; lifting, bending and squatting; and using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, large plant, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment

Qualifications & Experience

  • Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental (site) rules and ensure all work is performed in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all personnel on a site
  • Relevant plant operating licenses
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods; handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
  • Excellent vision and ability to distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites
  • Understanding of safe work methods for manual lifting (and carrying)
