Job Description

Our heavy plant hire division – Delta Rent – operates one of the largest fleets of earthmoving equipment in Australia and is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Business Development Manager to establish new customer relationships, enhance and expand industry networks, and drive revenue growth across New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management / Sales:
  • Implement sales strategies and understand client needs
  • Meet customers and enhance key relationships
  • Manage tenders and presentations
  • Collaborate with internal staff for high customer service standards
  • Explore the target market to increase revenue
Financial Management:
  • Achieve sales budget targets and margin guidelines
  • Control costs when machinery is off hired
Marketing:
  • Develop target marketing programs and track strategies
  • Manage client workbooks and geographical area pipeline
Continuous Improvement:
  • Initiate new customers and improve sales processes
  • Seek better processes and ideas to enhance business results
Individual Management:
  • Excellent communication skills and adherence to reporting processes
  • Balance work ethic and quality
  • Ensure appropriate behaviors and values
  • OHS Compliance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in sales and account management in the earthmoving equipment hire sector or related industry
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or commerce or related field
  • Strong understanding of heavy earthmoving equipment and their applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
