Job Description

Browns Piling in Victoria are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Manager to join our growing team based in Dandenong South. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key leadership role within a highly functional business focused on operational excellence, strong safety outcomes, quality project delivery, and sustainable long-term growth. To be successful in this role, you will bring strong leadership capability, operational experience, and a proactive approach within safety-critical construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of construction projects across multiple work fronts
  • Manage and support Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Leadership teams
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture across all operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
  • Support planning, estimating, and commercial functions
  • Monitor project performance, delivery timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
  • Prepare and coordinate 3-week look-ahead schedules with operations to ensure accurate resource allocation
  • Liaise closely with customers to maintain strong working relationships, ensure satisfaction, and support the retention and growth of contracted works
  • Promote initiative, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams
  • Assist in driving the growth and development of Browns Piling and affiliated companies across construction, demolition, recycling, and civil sectors

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering or relevant construction management qualification
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience leading piling or civil construction delivery teams
  • Strong leadership capability within safety-critical environments
  • Understanding of project management fundamentals
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and processes
  • Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of project scope requirements and construction deliverables
  • Previous experience with or understanding of integrated and diversified contracting divisions
  • High level commercial acumen and exceptional negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of IR in Victoria
  • Established supply chain relationships as they apply to piling and foundations work in Victoria
