Job Description

Lead and optimise our transport operations across metropolitan Melbourne. A results driven manager, you will lead a small team and drive process improvement, supplier relationships, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, control, and manage the transport operations efficiently
  • Buy transport services and analyse expenditures and other financial information to develop action plans for increasing profits and improving services
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and metrics for the logistics division. Collaborate with all stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with NHVL and CoR obligations as well as company policies and procedures, and statutory obligations
  • Industry knowledge manager and technical expert, ensuring innovative and best practice solutions are implemented
  • Effective and efficient management of key supplier/stakeholder relationships – transport and buying portfolio suppliers
  • Provide transport-related input to regular operational meetings with customers and suppliers

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven 5+ years experience in transport and/or logistics management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Financial and contract management expertise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Commitment to maintaining safety excellence and CoR compliance
  • Previous experience in building and construction sector
  • Proven and reliable transport services networks in Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne
