Job Description

Our expanding Transport division is looking for experienced Heavy Rigid (HR) and Heavy Combination (HC) drivers to take the wheel of one of our Semi Live Bottom and 10-Wheeler Rigid trucks in metro Melbourne. You’ll play a critical role in carting a range of soils and quarry products, as well as helping divert millions of tonnes of demolition and construction waste from landfill. All applicants must provide a current CV, references and a current copy of your VicRoads driving history report.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commitment to safety and an understanding of your CoR obligations
  • Transport soils, quarry materials, and construction waste
  • Sound knowledge of the Melbourne metropolitan area to identify safe and efficient routes
  • Be responsible and take pride in maintaining vehicles
  • Be well presented and follow site rules at all times, incuding all safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Deliver excellent service to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid/current HC licence
  • Provision of VicRoads driving history report
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience driving a Truck & Trailer or Semi Flocon
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work as part of a team and professional work ethic
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and screening for drugs and alcohol
  • Previous experience working with a diversified contractor and servicing demolition and civil sites
  • Flexibility with work hours
  • Ability to drive a diverse range of heavy vehicles, including Skip Bin trucks, Truck & Dog Tippers, and/or Road Sweepers
