Delta has formed a successful partnership with Boral to reduce landfill and recycle concrete wastage with the creation of a new bi-product, Envirocrete. Commercial concrete is crushed, processed and treated at our Sunshine plant as well as at several Boral sites in Victoria and NSW.

The Delta Recycling Sunshine operation is one of Victoria's largest recyclers of construction and demolition materials.

Following a plant upgrade in 2007, partly funded with an infrastructure grant from Sustainability Victoria to install an additional crusher, conveyors and screen, the annuall recycling capacity has been increase to in excess of 650,000 tonnes.

The process of recycling concrete or brick requires an initial crushing of material using a primary jaw crusher, with further reduction complete by cone crushers. The material is then screened and where required blended via the pugmill to produce a range of recycled products.

These high quality recycled materials meet Vic Roads specifications and are use in pavement construction, concrete production and various civil construction works.

Delta is among many Melbourne businesses whose efforts are playing a significant role in helping to achieve Victoria's Towards Zero Waste targets.
