The late 1990s, the City of Greater Geelong embarked on a large scale plan to revitalise their CBD and surrounding districts. Delta Group’s civil landscaping division have been responsible for realising a number of these projects.
One of the most significant was the Eastern Beach Road reconstruction. While maintaining traffic flow throughout, Delta Group completely rebuilt.
Key Features
- The Eastern Beach Road carriageways.
- Rebuilt adjacent car parks, footpaths, beach and parklands.
- Incorporated numerous complex paving designs and styles which intergrated with grass, timber, natural stone and coloured concrete.
- Installation of ‘boat planters’ that reflected on the regions marine heritage.
- Sourced and planted 100s of palm trees specifically transported from Queensland to dramatically change the landscape.
